if you can port everything possible to a thumbdrive or external hardrive. then if you can draw or animate when it dose go I sugjest that you keep up your practice on paper, or with a program on a phone or 3ds. I use inchworm to practice when I'm away from a computer. its not the best but has lairs n shit. then just find a way to fix your laptop or get a new one. the geek squad had mine for 14 days. felt like hell but I got it back with time. in the end my hardrive was toast. most I can say is if you can still move shit to a portable storage thingie you can barrow a friends or family members internet looking device to finsh anything you are working on now, and let people know your going to be out for awhile. keep that open communication. helps keep the fans around while you work through shit.

Hope you get back to it soon! I just had to replace my laptop battery as well, I was lucky and got a good price on mine.
