Hey, so yeah, about 10 days ago our apartment got robbed. I've really only mentioned it on Twitter at this point (we're trying to keep the holidays happy), but about $4,000 of my equipment was taken. This means all the projects I have finished and have been working on are gone as well as my computer. Yesterday I started up a gofundme to help afford to replace all the equipment and keep working on projects. More of my personal belongings were taken, but I don't think it's fair to ask for more than what I need to give content back; in other words, I put a cap on the donations to ensure the money could only be used to replace my equipment.
If you would like to donate, even one dollar would mean the world to me, but sharing helps just as well. I'm already incredibly grateful for how kind and supportive everyone's been at this point; the number of tweets and messages I've received filled with kindness is mind-blowing. The people I meet online are amazing—my friends, my peers, and people who support me are a gift. I really feel uncomfortable asking for money, but I think at this point I don't have much of a choice. I will leave the link down below.
Thanks so much for everything, you guys. I'm more and more thankful every day to be where I am right now, even after getting robbed. It really does blow my mind how amazing you all are; I really don't feel deserving of this much kindness.
